You Do Not Deserve Hell

“Christianity is very much like the advertising agencies who simultaneously invent a problem and offer to sell us the solution.”

I am afraid my friend that belief in nothing is really just a poor attempt to make oneself his own creator. Christianty does not “invent a problem” sin creates the problems of the world. Christianty is pointing out the truth of the existence of Satin, and atheism is one of the advertisers that Satin gets to use for free, no arguement at all. Just a mindless, thoughless advertiser that does not even know it is selling eternal suffering. Peace be with you.

I’m not sure of the problem you are referring to. But one cannot separate Christianity from its human counterpart: Christians. It is nothing other than humans that can create a human problem and then can solve it. I think the problem is that we are consciously aware of our own mortality and we are psychologically terrorized whenever we face that thought that one day in our future we will not exist anymore. We try to solve the problem by creating an alternative, where we will somehow survive death or never die. Christians did not invent death. They just offered 2 extreme alternative final solutions (heaven or hell)

In response to the statement you do not deserve hell. Please answer the following questions with in your heart. They aply to everyone. Do you think you’re a good person? Most do. Here’s a quick test to find out if your are or not. Have you ever told a lie? What does that make you? A liar. Have you ever stolen anything? The value or size of it does not matter. Anything at all, a peice of candy, a paperclip, a penny that wasn’t yours, anything. What does that make you? A thief. Have you ever used God’s name instead of or as a cuss word? That’s called blasphemy. God said he will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain. Have you lusted for anyone in your heart? Jesus said that’s the same as commiting adultry. Have you ever held hate in your heart for someone? Jesus said that’s the same as murder. So by your own admission you are a lying, theiving, blasphemous, adulturous, murderer and that’s only five of the ten commandments. YOU HAVE TO STAND BEFORE GOD ON JUDGEMENT DAY! Will you be innocent or guilty. GUILTY! Will that mean heaven or hell. HELL! Please listen your eternal destination depends on this. It is true that the wages of sin is death, but that price has been paid. Jesus Christ, God’s son, came to earth and died in your place. He took the punishment you deserve, if you’ll only turn from the wickedness you love so much as evidneced by your life and follow him in obedience. Read his word(The Bible) daily and obey what you read.

But eternal hell is too great a punishment for the theft of a paperclip. It’s too great a punishment for any crime. I couldn’t be happy in heaven knowing that anyone was in hell.

If what you believe is true, we live in a terrible world. Maybe one can wake up from it.

Hell is what we create here in this existence. We all come from energy, a pure source that is most likely neither good or bad but just is. That is what your god is, nothing more than what we make of it. What do you want your god to be?

I agree that imperfect people that try their best to do what is right (but fall short is smaller things – like stealing a piece of candy etc) do not deserve Hell as believed by protestant Christianity understands it. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (sometimes referred to as the Mormon church). Our beliefs include modern revelation that clariefies the true doctrine of Heaven and Hell, and it is not just Heaven for Christians and Hell for the rest. There are multiple levels of inheritence – depending on one’s faith, works and their heart. All humanity (except for a few souls that have God revealed to them but choose to reject Him and follow Satan)….except for these few, all will recieve atleast a degree of “glory” or inheritence, and in that sense, will be “Saved” from spending their eternity in a firey pit. I have prayed about this doctrine, and feel that God has revealed to me that it’s true- and it MAKES SENSE! Good, imperfect Jews and Muslims etc. do not deserve “Hell” forever.
